Day 531: A Quiet and Productive Friday

Not only did we make it to bed on time last night but we also didn’t have to get up until 7:00a since I work from home on Fridays. It was nice to get the extra sleep.

When I work from home, I typically get my day started right after taking Sasha out for a walk since I shower later on after my workout. I immediately got into a groove and was able to crank through a lot of work by 9:30a when I took a break to have another meal.

We had a technical issue at work today so for the majority of the day we could only access email on our phone. It seemed like only our team realized that email was still available because it was pretty quiet, which I will never complain about.

I was able to stay productive all day long and close out my first full week back since before Christmas on a strong note.

I tackled another 500 kettlebell swings this afternoon, bringing my total to 8,000 swings. That only leaves me with 4 more workouts to complete the 10,000 kettlebell swing challenge.

I was able to improve my time by around 6 minutes over yesterday, finishing the swings in approximately 27 minutes.

Throughout the entire workout I felt strong and didn’t have any real tightness to worry about. During previous workouts I have had to spend time stretching in between rounds but only did some minor stretching today.

What’s even more fun is that I now have to carry the 40 lb kettlebell back and forth to the gym which includes up/down 3 flights of stairs and then across the property. It’s not too hard heading over there but on the way back it has been more difficult the last two days since my grip is shot by that time.

I’m looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend with Laura after a long and busy week.
