Public Speaking Topics

  • How to Use Instagram to Drive Your Company Culture Globally: Are you looking for a way to shine a light on your company’s culture, to separate your company from the generic content pack? On Instagram, pictures are worth thousands of words (and, potentially, dollars!) Many companies focus on the standard issue: submitting applications for various awards, utilizing their recruiting teams, or relying on their employees to convey how much they enjoy working for your company (not that there’s anything wrong with that). But WHAT IF you turned to Instagram to showcase your company’s culture, to make the internet writ large sit up and say, “WHOA! How can I work for them?” Takeaways include:

  1. How to use Instagram to best capture and showcase your company culture

  2. Creatively drive traffic to the web destinations you’re targeting

  3. Define the things your company stands for, not just the things it’s selling

  • Evolving From Social Media to Social Business: Evolving from social media as a function within a business to becoming a social business can be hard. In this presentation, I help to break down this evolution into 13 foundational key steps using my experiences in both SMB and enterprise-level companies.

  • Social Media Strategy Overview: In this presentation, I break down the litany of social media tools including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube; blogging and podcasting to help provide an understanding of how to develop a social media strategy that provides metrics that matter to your business.

Past Audience Feedback

“Good speakers usually have a deep subject knowledge to which they speak or a stage presence that entertains the audience. Rarely do they possess both the ability to educate and entertain. Justin does both. He also adds a crucial ingredient that too many speakers opt out of, preparation. Justin has spoken at several Social Fresh conferences over the years and is always ranked highly by our audience of very knowledgeable attendees.”

-Jason Keath, CEO, Social Fresh

“We invited Justin to speak at Social Media Breakfast Tech Valley and our group really enjoyed hearing about his deep and diverse experience with social media marketing. He was able to weave personal anecdotes from his role as a restaurant manager and marketer with project insights from working on major national clients with New Marketing Labs. Justin had a calm, confident demeanor that put everyone at ease and made them feel as though they were part of a social media master class. Here’s what some of our attendees said in our post-event survey:

  • ‘Justin was really down to earth and sincere. He told us about his experiences, not what we have to do. He was also really interesting.’

  • ‘Justin was a confident, well-prepared speaker. I learned about several new online apps. You can tell he’s had plenty of speaking practice.’

  • ‘Justin was very comfortable, confident, willing to take questions during and afterward. He was enthusiastic about Social Media and that was infectious, making me consider what I could do with my own blog.’

  • ‘Justin was filled with a real natural sense of wrapping his mind around a problem and moving ahead thoughtfully.’”

Amy Mengel,  Organizer – Social Media Breakfast Tech Valley

“Justin clearly knows his way around a myriad of social media issue. His presentation to foodservice distributor and manufacturer executives ignited the room and got them talking about they can apply social media to their respective businesses. He provided many clear examples about how social media has helped increase sales in many industries and spoke to his audience in such a way that was casual, but dynamic and knowledgeable. If you want someone who is comfortable presenting to all four generations in the workplace—and one who meets the challenge head on of talking about social media to all four generations–I highly recommend that you consider Justin. Also, become his social media ‘friend!’”

Bio:

Over his 12+ year career, Justin consulted with marketing and PR agencies as well as brands across an array of industries. Previously, Justin led social marketing at ServiceNow, global social media for Citrix, and launched a social media agency that worked with Fortune 500 brands.

While growing our client base at the social media agency that Chris Brogan and I launched, I became a partner in an Argentinean steakhouse, helping one of my closest friends use social media to grow the restaurant by at least 20% in sales for 30+ months straight. Because of this success, we were featured in multiple business and marketing books as well as being profiled by some of the most successful marketing blogs in the world.

When Justin was in grade school his teachers would always make notes on my report card saying that I talked too much. Justin is able to channel that into a passion for public speaking on social media, marketing and technology.

Justin is a sought after public speaker on the topics of social media, marketing and technology and has been interviewed by mainstream media sources including FOX Business, Associated Press, Inc. Magazine and the Boston Globe.
