We ended up waking up twice during the night to the sound of Sasha chewing up the carpet in the living room. Because of that I woke up at 3:30a to her throwing up again. While I was getting ready this morning she threw up another two times.
There are two areas in our apartment where she pulls up the carpeting when she’s nervous, doesn’t feel good or is scared.
As soon as I got to my office I called our vet to check in with them. I ended leaving an hour after getting there to shoot home, pick up Sasha and take her for an appointment.
They took x-rays and checked her tummy. All came back negative and they gave her an anti-nausea shot to help calm her stomach. She’s also now on a bland diet of low-fat cottage cheese and brown rice for the next couple of days.
On my way into work this morning I stopped to get my Day 28 blood work done. I’ll find out tomorrow if I’m cleared to start chemo on Sunday, though I’m not worried about it. My blood levels have always been within range.
I decided to work from home the rest of the day so that I could keep an eye on her. Also, it would take too much time to drive back into work and back home again, especially since I didn’t have any meetings (finally!).
Today was my rest day from working out and it was a chance for Laura and I to head out for our Thursday date night.
Even though we were back in CT together for a long weekend, we always cherish our date nights when it’s just the two of us hanging out.
Tonight we’re planning on closing our bedroom door so that Sasha can’t get try snacking on the carpet again.
