I tried my best to get to bed on time last night but I had trouble falling asleep and then ended up waking up twice in the middle of the night. It’s the fourth night in a row that I have missed my sleep goal.
After getting ready I still had no appetite. I usually have fat free Greek yogurt, granola, chia seeds and fresh blueberries. None of that sounded appetizing so I forced down a slice of whole grain bread with natural peanut butter and a banana. It wasn’t as much protein as my normal breakfast but did have a decent nutritional profile.
Being that it is nearing the end of the quarter and end of year, I had to again spend time on several finance and HR-related projects. While I have been productive this week, it has been hard to feel as locked in as I prefer.
I was finally hungry at lunchtime. Since we didn’t cook last night I went over to our cafe and ordered a sandwich. I figured having a sandwich would boost my calories and carbs intake after not consuming much food since last night.
I had thought about going to the gym but decided to keep today as a rest day. I’ll be back in the gym tomorrow for a back and triceps workout.
Since Laura stayed was still sick today and it is the final night of chemo for me, we decided to stay in for our date night. We ordered pizza and watched a movie while resting on the couch.
It will be nice to put this round of chemo behind us. I haven’t gotten as much rest as I typically shoot for, both generally and while on chemo. After this we will only have two more rounds left.
