It was nice getting another 7.5 hours of sleep last night but what was even nicer was getting nearly 5 hours of deep sleep.
Today was a much needed rest day from my workouts. Even though I spent time yesterday rolling out my legs, my right calf was still really sore this morning after yesterday’s cardio session.
Laura hasn’t been able to sleep well the last few nights with last night being the worse of them. I woke up at 2:00a to find her out on the couch. She said that she hadn’t been able to fall asleep from the time we went to bed around 10:15p.
I tried to keep the house quiet for the morning until Laura finally woke up around 10:30a. When she woke up she said that she wasn’t feeling well, fearing that she was coming down with a head cold.
As we were running errands she started feeling even worse even though she had taken DayQuil before we left.
We were originally planning on going for a walk since it was such a beautiful day. But, with how Laura was feeling when we got back home we nixed that plan.
We chose to spend the day binge-watching a couple of TV series so that Laura could drift in and out of sleep.
Though I could have spent that time going through my weekly review, I decided to spend the day just hanging out with Laura and taking care of her as she needed it.
It’s not every day that we have a lazy day spent just hanging out on the couch but today was one of those days to give her time to recover.
Tomorrow it’s back to work and back to my workout, which is usually a longer workout after coming off of a rest day.
