When I woke up this morning I was feeling the best I have felt this entire week. I had a terrible headache but didn’t have much of a cough and could actually breathe through my nose.
I’m excited to be feeling better so that I can get back to full speed at work, in the gym and at home. It’s amazing how quickly a head cold can knock you off of your game.
Due to an early start at work, though I was feeling better, I wasn’t able to get in a workout. Tomorrow, however, I will definitely be heading to the gym to get back on track with my workouts after 3 days off.
I spent the entire day in an all-day planning meeting which we try to do each quarter. While they are always long days, they are great days because we’re able to download a lot of information in a compressed amount of time.
Once we brought the meeting to a close we went out for a nice dinner so that we could enjoy time just hanging out outside of the office.
During our dinner I was explaining to one of our newer team members what happened to us and how we were getting ready to start chemo. Again, just like everyone else, she offered her and her team’s full support of anything we might need.
It really feels good when friends, family and colleagues make an offer like that even if we never take them up on it. It never gets old and we appreciate it deeply.
I still haven’t heard back from the fertility clinic so will likely follow up with them tomorrow since we’re quickly running out of time before our follow-up appointments at UCSF a week from Monday.
After a long week of having a head cold I am looking forward to the weekend so that I can reset and relax before a very busy next week.
